The award-winning a cappella ensemble Ardú from Ireland visited Croatia for a three performance “Ireland Meets Croatia” tour in the latter half of October. The tour kicked off on Friday, 20 October with a concert at the Archaeological Museum Zagreb (AMZ). The concert was organized by the AMZ and the Embassy.
More than 50 invitees attended the hour-long concert during which the six-member group performed more than a dozen songs, including Irish classics, more contemporary popular songs and the Croatian staple “Naranča”.
Though Ardú is from Ireland, one of the singers, Filip Klubička, is from Croatia and now calls Ireland home. His family and friends were, of course, in attendance. The group was making its return to Croatia after its first set of concerts a few years ago.
The group also held concerts in Varaždin and Ludbreg.
Culture Ireland supported the trip to Croatia.
